Why is the signifier for "the Lord" not only important but
quintessential to all communication about truth or philosophic
speculation?
Take some obvious (historic)
examples of namings:
God (the Christian atheist)
El (the Canaanite)
Ho Theos (the Greek)
the Lord/Allah (the religious)
Yahweh (the mystic)
the Universe, or the Big
"Bang" (the materialist, with every sexually ladden
connotation to be imagined)
Truth (the poet)
the One (the new-ager)
One-All or oneness (the spiritualist)
the Non-all / the Nothing (the
nihilist)
the Great Spirit (the
naturalist)
Brahma (the Indian sage, the spiritual philosopher)
the Absolute (the scientist)
the Eternal (the romantic)
Satan (the ignorant and imature)
Christ (the dogmatic atheist)
chance (the moron)
Magic (the child)
MOney/$ (the investmentbanker/capitalist)
the Nation/the great leader (the fascist)
the Self (ego)
Abha/Baha (the artist - Baha'ism)
Ohm (the musician)
etc.
Sounds
processed into words are the texture of mysticism, or rather with the
word we isolate us from direct experience when direct telepathy isn't
possible. Because what is telepathy but another word for intuition? The
question is who and to what to transformation occurs. When we put sound
into vibration, we communicate directly to "other" Self, which is
within us and all surrounding. One of the results of this era coming
out on the other side is observing ourselves and how incredibly
ignorant we have been. With "it" in front of us the whole time. Take as
example the mindless separation of Universe of ego into "thinking" and
"non-thinking-dead Universe". Like how are we not just Universe
thinking? How are we not just one big (eternal) thing with the
possibility of individuality at the same time? There simply is no
easier, more direct explanation: But oddly ego sees all surrounding
Universe as different and believes in divisions from a materialistic
perspective.
Is the silence even suggested by
the nihilistic
deconstructivist the best word for truth or Brahman ? Or is it the
consciousness instilling Abha of the Bahaist?
The
word "God" comes from the German "Gott" which again is influenced by
the "Goth" of the Goths (their main territory before the Kingdoms of
Aragorn and West Germany etc were Gothland in Sweden). The origin of
the Goths is somewhat
obscure but there is a good probability that they were one of the
original 12 tribes of Canaan that populated the Western world. Others
include the Danites (leading to names like Dan-ube, Dan-mark etc). The
word Gott also in German means good. Essentially this dualism confusal
has to be found by the ignorant who exchanges faith in oneness for
belief in "good" (a brilliant example manifested in the late G.W. Bush
thinking he was doing "Gods work" and "good"). For the ignorant is
always doing good from his viewpoint - even when he is harming nations
with, from heir viewpoint, evil. God is a very poor signifying
mechanism for truth - essentially it signifies ignorance or confusion.
The
more subversive connotation "The Lord" was used to signify
Christianity's and Islam's early subversion to a subjective God. For
the Jews the factor of the "fear of God" (of Gods wrath, his sudden
invocations, revenge etc) led to this settlement around the period of
final assembling the old Testament (1500 BC-ca 400 AC). Fear is of
course intimate for ego as it sees everything else as a threat to its
existence - but where the notion of the subjective image God "God/Gott"
renders the full inscription of God as a symbol only, empty of content
- the "Lord" still emplies humility before God, servitude to a higher,
collective principle.
No wonder why many are turned aback
when
they are being confronted with "God" as a signifier for ultimate
truth/the Universe/eternity.
Maybe we shouldn't use the word and
merely follow what Gurus and spiritualists ongoingly suggest - sing
praise (though this can't help sound ultimately completely pathetic or
at least a bit lunatic). Essentially this is what all music is about -
whether artist know it or not. Like writing or art about the
constitution of the Universe it simply projects different aspects into
the One-all. Whether we write or make music it is still about the
praise of how magnificent the world is - what an extraordinary work of
art this cosmic shit is.
